What is the Enterprising Futures Scholarship?
The Enterprising Futures Scholarship 2025 is an initiative by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs to support young entrepreneurs in creating solutions to global challenges like youth unemployment and social exclusion. Through this program, selected candidates will engage in the One Young World Summit, a global platform uniting over 2,000 young leaders from more than 190 countries.
Eligible Nationalities
Applicants must be nationals and residents of one of the following countries:
- Africa: Algeria, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Côte d’Ivoire, Egypt, Ethiopia, Kenya, Mali, Morocco, Mozambique, Niger, Nigeria, Senegal, Somalia, South Sudan, Sudan, Tunisia, and Uganda.
- Middle East:Â Iraq (including Kurdistan region), Jordan, Lebanon, Palestinian Territories.
- Refugees residing in these countries are also eligible to apply.
Expectations of Selected Scholars
Selected scholars will represent their communities and contribute actively to program activities, including:
- Participating in ecosystem mapping and advisory initiatives organized by the Dutch MFA.
- Sharing their experiences at events hosted by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs and its partners.
- Building lasting networks with embassies and stakeholders.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify, candidates must:
- Be aged 18-35 by November 2025.
- Be actively engaged in youth employment and job creation, either as entrepreneurs or in a related role.
- Hold nationality and residency in one of the eligible countries: Algeria, Ethiopia, Nigeria, Uganda, and others (full list above).
- Have a working understanding of English to participate in the Summit and associated events.
- Be available for the full duration of the program (2-7 November 2025).
