This automatic entrance scholarship is designed for new full-time international Study Abroad students enrolling in 2026. There’s no separate application—just apply and enroll in one of the eligible programs listed below as a Study Abroad student from an international partner institution.

Eligible Nationalities
Open to international students of all nationalities.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the Otago Polytechnic Study Abroad Scholarship 2026, students must:
- Be a new international student enrolling full-time in 2026
- Be studying at Otago Polytechnic under a Study Abroad agreement with a partner institution
- Meet the entry requirements for one of the eligible bachelor’s programs
- Remain enrolled as a full-time student (between 45–60 credits per semester)
- Not defer studies to 2027 or later
Not Eligible If:
- Enrolled part-time or reduce from full-time to part-time
- Deferring studies to 2027
- Repeating failed courses (no scholarship applies to repeats)
- Studying under a pathway program that begins in 2027 or later
Terms & Conditions
- Scholarships apply to the first year of study only
- Scholarships are non-transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash
- If a student fails or withdraws, full tuition fees for failed or future semesters will apply

Application Procedure
There is no separate application process. Once you successfully enroll as a Study Abroad student in 2026 in one of the eligible programs, you’ll automatically be considered for the scholarship.
Otago Polytechnic will issue:
- An offer of admission
- A scholarship deduction reflected in your fee statement
- The remaining tuition fees to be paid
