A major step forward for BS Microbiology, Biotechnology and Biochemistry graduates in Pakistan.

The Allied Health Professionals Council (AHPC), Government of Pakistan has approved a one time 1 year condensed/deficiency pathway for eligible graduates who completed their degrees before 2026 and are already serving in relevant fields.

After successful completion, candidates may be registered in Category A under relevant professional titles such as Medical Microbiologist, Clinical Biochemist and Health Biotechnologist. The facility is expected to remain valid up to 2029, while the curriculum will be developed by AHPC in collaboration with HEC and subject experts.

This is a long awaited move toward professional recognition, career progression and regulated practice for life-l science graduates in Pakistan.
