British Council Pakistan, in collaboration with the Scottish Government, has announced the Scotland Pakistan Scholarships for Young Women and Girls 2026 to support Pakistani women in pursuing higher education and enhancing their academic and professional opportunities.
The scholarships are available for female students enrolled in, or seeking admission to, HEC-recognised universities in Pakistan for the following programmes and subject areas:
- Undergraduate: Four-year Bachelor’s degree.
- Postgraduate: Up to two-year Master’s/MPhil degree.
- Eligible disciplines:Â Education, Sustainable Energy, Food Security and Agriculture, Health Sciences, STEM, and Climate.
The scholarship may cover full or partial tuition fees, university hostel costs, travel allowance, and research-related expenses for eligible Master’s students, subject to the applicable scholarship provisions.
Eligible applicants must be female Pakistani nationals currently residing in Pakistan and must hold confirmed admission/enrolment at an HEC-recognised university in an eligible programme. Young women with disabilities, from rural areas, and/or belonging to minority groups are particularly encouraged to apply.
