Course Synopsis
Lighting has come to be an important component of TV’s visual design. It is widely admitted that in TV/film, lights can create a significant emotional impact. This course will guide students the principles of lighting by using different professional lights, giving them a better understanding and confidence to deal with diverse lighting situations. The course consists of history, lighting designs, lighting plans and comparative lighting. Lighting design narrates the principles of lighting for stage, music shows, film, indoor and outdoor lighting for good production. The contents also give information about lighting style, qualities and components of a good lighting design. The subject aims to develop a good understanding of lighting techniques and lighting effects to enhance the quality of production.
